The NFL’s most dangerous teams on the road are often on the other side of the country.
But some teams have their own unique challenges when traveling.
Here’s a look at some of the most dangerous NFL teams on that side of Canada: Jacksonville Jaguars The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the NFL’s worst teams when it comes to the road, and when they play in the Canadian Football League, they’re among the league’s worst.
The Jaguars have scored more than 20 points per game on the season, a streak that started in 2016, but has fallen to zero since the end of last season.
They rank dead last in points allowed per game (16.6), and their opponents have scored an average of just 31.2 points per contest, good for 29th in the league.
The Jacksonville defense has been the Jaguars’ biggest strength.
It ranks third in the NFL in total defense (252.4), tied for first in yards allowed (5,829), tied with the Chicago Bears for fourth in points (30.8), and second in sacks (2.3).
The Jaguars ranked dead last against the pass in 2016.
The team has a strong running game and a solid pass rush.
The offensive line is also solid.
The unit is led by first-round pick Solomon Thomas, who was the Jaguars first-team All-Pro in 2016 after leading the league in tackles with 24.
The front seven is led, in addition to quarterback Blake Bortles, by second-round draft pick Josh Doctson and fourth-round rookie Allen Robinson.
The defense also has talent.
The league’s best pass rush is led mainly by first round pick Jadeveon Clowney, who ranks third on the team in sacks.
The Jags ranked second in yards per game allowed (14.8) last season, but allowed an average score of 34.1 yards per contest.
It’s no coincidence that they ranked deadlast against the run, as Jacksonville ranks dead last on the ground (4.9 yards per carry).
They rank among the NFL leaders in yards from scrimmage allowed (2,965), second in points per play allowed (16), and third in sacks allowed (1.8).
They also rank among those worst in yards against (8.4).
Defensive coordinator Chris Chester has had success with his front seven.
He’s led the NFL with 10 sacks, two of which came against the Cleveland Browns in the 2017 playoffs.
The rest of the Jags defense has allowed an NFL-worst 28.5 points per drive, good enough for eighth in the conference.
The NFL has made a concerted effort to bring in young players like defensive tackle Malik Jackson and wide receiver Mike Williams.
The move should help Jacksonville stay in the playoff hunt.
The Browns are the second-worst road team in the AFL, allowing an average average of 25.8 points per trip.
They are the Jaguars worst opponent on the day of the game, giving up an average 14.3 points per outing.
If the Japs play at home, the matchup should be a good one for the Browns.
Houston Texans The Texans have made it clear that they’re serious about adding more players to their defense.
Houston signed cornerback Josh Mauga, who had 33 tackles and three interceptions last season and was the Texans’ first-rounder in 2017.
They also signed former Seahawks defensive tackle J.J. Watt, who made his NFL debut with the team this year.
Watt has a chance to be the Texans best defensive player, but he is also the team’s most volatile.
He is a dangerous athlete, and is the only player on the Texans defense who could possibly be a game-changing player for them.
He will play on a team that ranks 29th against the rush.
Houston has been one of their toughest road teams, giving an average rushing score of 28.7.
The Texans rank deadlast on the year, allowing the most rushing yards per drive (3.9).
The team ranks 23rd in rushing yards allowed per attempt (2.,622).
They’re also allowing an NFL low of 15.5 rushing touchdowns.
They’ve struggled in pass coverage this season, allowing seven touchdowns on the week.
They allowed a league-high 12.3 yards per coverage snap, good to rank 29th, and allowed a team-high five passing touchdowns.
The biggest problem for Houston is their offensive line, which ranks 31st in the AFC in sacks, allowing 1.8 sacks per game.
The only problem with the Texans offensive line could be that they’ve lost their left tackle for the season.
He suffered a season-ending injury in Week 3, and was placed on injured reserve.
That means the Texans could lose their best offensive lineman in a game.
San Diego Chargers The Chargers have struggled in the first half of the season with their offense, but have shown a knack for scoring big late in games.
They’re currently third in scoring at 27.8 ppg.
They were last in the Western Conference in scoring
